Dodge Ram 1500 / Rebel 4WD Trucks without Air Ride

Take your RAM 1500 to the next level with the 6" Coilover Systems from BDS Suspension. Based around the tried and true high clearance technology that has made BDS the go to for RAM suspension lifts, these systems have been designed from the ground up to get more out of your RAM. Avaialble with standard reservoir or DSC adjustment reservoir coilovers, these systems offer smooth on-road comfort while providing impressive off-road performance and capability with clearance for 35-37" tires.

At the heart of these systems are a pair of precision tuned FOX 2.5 factory race series remote reservoir coilovers engineered to outperform on and offroad as they soak up the terrain. These coilovers are preset for the correct lift height right out of the box to provide optimal performance and direct bolt-in replacement for the factory strut assemblies. They feature a smooth bore and honed seamless alloy body, 7/8" hardened steel carbon shaft, Eibach coil springs and black anodized machined 6061-T6 billet aluminum mounts along with the remote reservoirs available with the optional DSC (dual speed compression) adjustment technology built in. DSC allows for easy adjustment of the vehicle's suspension compression dampening so you can dial in the ideal ride performance to soak up the bumps, both large and small. The DSC has 12 adjustment points for the high speed compression as well as 10 adjustment points for the low speed compression allowing you to make large or small changes to further improve your performance. Adjustments can be made by simply twisting the knobs located on the end of the reservoir. No tools or shop adjustments needed, allowing you to tune the suspension out on the trail. Complimenting the coilovers are a pair of 1/4" thick laser cut high clearance crossmembers to maximize clearance and provide a solid mounting point for the OE lower control arms. These paired with the heavy duty front skid plate system create a rigid subframe while adding protection for vital steering and driveline components. In place of the factory steering knuckles a pair of specially designed ductile iron replacement steering knuckles are supplied to maintain proper steering geometry for ESC system compatibility. These connect to the factory steering with a pair of heavy duty replacement tie rod ends included in the kit. Two knuckles options are available to fit trucks equipped with the standard hub bore as well as the larger hub bore used on truck with factory 22" wheels.The front differential is repositioned with BDS's multipoint relocation bracket system to secure the front differential and keep CV axle angles at a minimum. A billet aluminum front driveshaft spacer is also supplied along with longer hardware to allow the reinstallation of the factory driveshaft. Rounding out the front of this kit are a pair of stainless steel braided extended brake line and sway bar relocation brackets.

In the rear of this 6" lift system the factory coil springs are replaced with 5" ProRide coil springs to level the stance. With the additional ride height the rear suspension geometry is corrected with control arm relocation brackets, a bolt-on rear track bar relocation bracket to recenter the axle, extended length sway bar links to correct operating angle, and bump stop extensions to properly limit up travel. For the rear of these systems a pair of FOX 2.0 IFP performance series gas shocks are utilized to offer improved damper performance in rough terrain and a smooth ride on the highway. All kits come finished in a durable textured black powdercoat and sent with all hardware packs to complete the install along with step-by-step installation instructions.

Built for easy bolt-on installation, these new 3" UCA Lift Systems offer next level performance designed around the OE suspension geometry and utilize the new FOX 2.5 Performance Elite Series shocks at each corner. These large aluminum-bodied shocks feature DSC (Dual Speed Compression) adjustable reservoirs for additional damping capacity, better heat dispersion and tuneable ride. These are paired with heavy duty BDS tubular upper control arms (UCAs) designed for improved strength and increased suspension travel. These new control arms are built from thick wall 1.5" DOM tubing, and use an indexed ball joint cup to reposition the upper ball joints and allowing more droop travel. These arms come fully assembled right out of the box with high quality greaseable ball joints and rubber bushings for long life, quiet operation and superior corrosion resistance over uniballs and heims. Along with the control arms, a pair of reindexed cast steel torsion bar keys are supplied up front to lift vehicle while maintaining ground clearance. A small differential relocation kit is supplied to correct CV axle operating angles without effecting ground clearance. To eliminate sway bar interference, a pair of sway bar relocation brackets is used which maintains proper operating angle. The Superlift High Clearance Dual Steering Stabilizer Kit includes dual Superlift SS cylinders, plus hardware to relocate the cylinders in-line, and above the tie rod, to provide improved protection from rocks and other hazards.

Each cylinder's seamless, extruded monotube body contains a patented piston design, and a high-pressure gas charge to quickly dissipate heat and virtually eliminate fade. Cylinder valving is tailored to meet the demands of heavier tires/wheels and aggressive terrain.

Cylinders feature a brushed, silver Zinc finish, and include a black dust boot. Note that Superide shock boots will not fit Superlift SS cylinders.

A steering stabilizer is basically a shock absorber for your steering system. It allows unrestricted gradual movement but resists sudden shock. Stabilizers also combat other forces that induce tire shimmy, such as larger/heavier tires and wheels and slack in your suspension and steering systems that occur from normal wear.

Most vehicles are factory equipped with a stabilizer, yet like most factory shock absorbers, they are barely adequate and have a limited service life. Look for signs of oil leakage where the shaft meets the cylinder body.
