Through a collaborative effort between BDS Suspension and Fox Racing, BDS now offers this 4-6" Dodge 1500 4WD suspension system featuring Fox 2.5" coil-over remote reservoir shocks. This system has been rigorously tested to maximize travel and performance on and off the pavement.
This lift kit is based around two one-piece, 1/4" laser cut high-clearance crossmembers and replacement steering knuckles. The high-clearance crossmembers increase ground clearance for off road performance and on road appeal.
The replacement steering knuckles make for a clean installation as well as maintain proper steering angles and ball joint angles. A differential skid plate is included for off road protection.
The system also includes bump stop drops, anti-sway bar links, 3 point differential drop system, strut relocation brackets, and front stainless steel brake lines.
Nothing complements this BDS Suspension better than the race proven design of Fox 2.5" remote reservoir coil-over front shocks. These have been specifically engineered to fit the BDS Suspension system and feature an external reservoir for increased oil cooling capacity and nitrogen volume for a more consistent and comfortable ride. These have also been pre-set by BDS to 6" of lift for an easy installation, but can be adjusted down to 4" or fined tuned anywhere in between to your liking.
BDS allows you to customize your desired stance by offering 2" rear coil spacers or 3" and 5" Pro-Ride coils that are capable of being smashed totally flat and will come back to normal ride height. Avaialble with standard reservoir or DSC adjustment reservoir coilovers, these systems offer smooth on-road comfort while providing impressive off-road performance and capability with clearance for 35-37" tires.
At the heart of these systems are a pair of precision tuned FOX 2.5 factory race series remote reservoir coilovers engineered to outperform on and offroad as they soak up the terrain. These coilovers are preset for the correct lift height right out of the box to provide optimal performance and direct bolt-in replacement for the factory strut assemblies. They feature a smooth bore and honed seamless alloy body, 7/8" hardened steel carbon shaft, Eibach coil springs and black anodized machined 6061-T6 billet aluminum mounts along with the remote reservoirs available with the optional DSC (dual speed compression) adjustment technology built in. DSC allows for easy adjustment of the vehicle's suspension compression dampening so you can dial in the ideal ride performance to soak up the bumps, both large and small. The DSC has 12 adjustment points for the high speed compression as well as 10 adjustment points for the low speed compression allowing you to make large or small changes to further improve your performance. Adjustments can be made by simply twisting the knobs located on the end of the reservoir. No tools or shop adjustments needed, allowing you to tune the suspension out on the trail. Complimenting the coilovers are a pair of 1/4" thick laser cut high clearance crossmembers to maximize clearance and provide a solid mounting point for the OE lower control arms. These paired with the heavy duty front skid plate system create a rigid subframe while adding protection for vital steering and driveline components. In place of the factory steering knuckles a pair of specially designed ductile iron replacement steering knuckles are supplied to maintain proper steering geometry for ESC system compatibility. These connect to the factory steering with a pair of heavy duty replacement tie rod ends included in the kit. Two knuckles options are available to fit trucks equipped with the standard hub bore as well as the larger hub bore used on truck with factory 22" wheels.The front differential is repositioned with BDS's multipoint relocation bracket system to secure the front differential and keep CV axle angles at a minimum. A billet aluminum front driveshaft spacer is also supplied along with longer hardware to allow the reinstallation of the factory driveshaft. Rounding out the front of this kit are a pair of stainless steel braided extended brake line and sway bar relocation brackets.
In the rear of this 6" lift system the factory coil springs are replaced with 5" ProRide coil springs to level the stance. With the additional ride height the rear suspension geometry is corrected with control arm relocation brackets, a bolt-on rear track bar relocation bracket to recenter the axle, extended length sway bar links to correct operating angle, and bump stop extensions to properly limit up travel. For the rear of these systems a pair of FOX 2.0 IFP performance series gas shocks are utilized to offer improved damper performance in rough terrain and a smooth ride on the highway.
